Presumption of CPP President as Nandom Leader False – Royal Family

The so-called selection of the National President of the People's Party of the Convention [CPP] as the supreme leader of the traditional Nandom region, is challenged.

Thursday, a statement issued by a certain Alhaji Yussif Botug Benni Chiir, who has introduced himself as the leader of the Royal Family of Nandom Traditional Area, announced Professor Edmund Delle as the new Nandom Naa.

"Professor Delle will badume the skin name of NAA PROFESSOR EDMUND NMINYEM DELLE CHIIR VIII. The process is already underway for the public inauguration of Professor Naa Edmund Delle Chiir VIII. The details of seeding will be announced in due time, "the statement said.

But this has been disputed.

In another statement released on Friday, Deri Ziem Chemgoh, who also introduced himself as head of the family, said that the so-called process of selecting Naa's successor, Dr. Charles Puoure Puobe Imoru Chiir VII, is wrong.

According to the statement, the traditional and final funeral rites of the late Naa (doctor) Puoure Puobe Chiir VII, are still running and this would continue for the next forty (40) days

"In this regard, the so-called rampage of the Assistant Professor, Edmund N. DeIle as Nandom Naa should be ignored. It's simply an attempt to cause chaos and disunite the royal family and the good people of Nandom.

"We also want to note that the alleged head of the family, Alhaji Issifu Botug Benni Chiir, is unknown to the royal family. Deri Ziem Chemogoh is the only reigning ruler / head of the family, "the statement added.
