In Sissala East District, the president said that since he took office more than two years ago, his government had launched or completed a number of projects in the district.
Among these projects, there was a 12-storey, two-level block at the Tumu Senior High Technical School (SHTS), a six-block clbad block at Kanton Senior High School and a girls dormitory. floor and a capacity of 320 people at Tumu SHTS.
He added that he was planning to build another 320-bed dorm for boys at the Tumu SHTS, adding that he would ensure that the national cake was shared equally among all.
President Akufo-Addo acknowledged that the district of East Sissala was a breadbasket and congratulated residents for their foresight in the acceptance of the Plant for Food and Employment program.
He added that the government had already sent 15 motorcycles to the district to facilitate the activities of agricultural extension agents, saying that all extension agents linked to the program would be provided with the necessary logistics to improve their production.
He said that up to now, 65,060 cashew seedlings had been distributed to farmers in the region in order to improve cashew nut production.
The president announced that the district of Sissala East would benefit from the construction of 13 dams, in accordance with the government policy "A village, a dam".
Traditional Lawra Zone
The supreme chief of the traditional Lawra region, Naa Puowele Karbo III, who also addressed the Durbar, expressed appreciation for this year's theme, which he chose on purpose to attract the Attention to the rapid erosion of cultural heritage, most young people do not be able to speak their native language and lose their traditional values.
