The firm is concerned about Mr. Adjaye's legitimacy to practice in Ghana because he is not a resident under the Architect's Decree (NRCD 357).

Design and Associates also reports that Adjaye's firm is recruiting architects from beyond Ghana and ignoring local talent.

"The public has the negative impression that locally trained architects and engineers are incompetent and do not have the skills to undertake such projects in the country, which is totally false."

But the heart of the complaints from the local architectural firm concerned the process of buying he described as "weird".

According to the petition, David Adjaye & Associates was chosen "unlike any idea of ​​fairness to carry out projects when it is clear that any business would be overburdened with projects of such magnitude".

In addition, Design and Associates has refuted claims of fairness in the selection process of at least the new controversial complex of Parliament.

In a letter attached in response to the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, the competition for the design of the new Parliament Complex was described as "a complete hoax".

Local businesses were excluded from project discussions with various state institutions.
