The marriage of the daughter of the Emir of Bichi, Zahra Ado-Bayero, to the son of President Buhari, Yusuf, is scheduled to take place on August 20, 2021.
According to Daily Trust, a total of 145 people were named on a committee inaugurated to coordinate the wedding.
The committee set up by the Emir of Kano, Nasiru Ado Bayero, will also organize a program of the coronation of the emir and the presentation of the office staff by the governor of Kano, Abdullahi Ganduje.
A statement signed by emirate spokesperson Lurwan Malikawa says the coronation comes a day after the wedding at the emir’s palace.
The statement also revealed that the committee will be headed by the chief of Bagwai district, who is also Madakin Bichi Alhaji Nura Ahmad and that Falakin Bichi Alhaji Abba Waziri will be the secretary of the committee.
During the inauguration ceremony of the committee, the Emir of Bichi, represented by Madakin Bichi, urged the committee members to use their rich experience to ensure the success of the coronation as well as that of the royal wedding.
