Although they can not use nicknames in public, Queen Elizabeth's family is catching up with a variety of adorable names for Her Majesty at home.

Like many husbands, Prince Philip has a very special name for his lifelong love. according to Marie Claire, the Duke of Edinburgh calls his wife "cabbage". The reason is unknown, but some think it comes from the French phrase "my little cabbage" which translates to "my little cabbage".

Cabbage is not the only name of his majesty. Her father called her "Lilibet", inspired by the way she pronounced her baby name. And, apparently, Prince Philip sometimes calls him Lilibet as well.

Kate Middleton

The Duchess of Cambridge also has some nicknames. When she was a little girl, she received the name "Squeak" in honor of her pig from India. "I've been nicknamed Squeak, just like my guinea pig," she revealed during a trip to her school. "There was one who called Pip and one who called Squeak."
