Princess Beatrice and her multimillionaire boyfriend are getting married a few months after moving in together to St James's Palace.

The daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York would be "desperately in love" with real estate developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Some friends say that they will soon be going down the aisles.

"They are incredibly happy and already planning the wedding," said a close friend The sunlast night.

"Edo moved in with Beatrice to her apartment in St James's Palace and spent most of her time there.

"They can hardly hold hands and spend each moment together.

"I do not know if he really got on his knees with a ring, but they talk openly about marriage and it will be either later this year or maybe early in 2020.

"I know her parents are delighted and the duchess is already thinking about her wedding outfit!"

Last weekend, Edo, 35, and Béatrice, 30, joined her parents, Andrew and Sarah, at the Bahrain Grand Prix. They were housed by the Crown Prince in a luxurious suite of the Ritz Carlton Hotel.

They have recently been seen walking arm in arm in New York.

Beatrice, who has not seen other people since her separation from her 10-year-old boyfriend, American Dave Clark in 2016, met Edo at the wedding of her sister Eugenie last October.

Edo has been a friend of the York family for years. On the death of his father-in-law Christopher Shale, a close friend of former Prime Minister David Cameron, in 2011, Andy, Sarah, Bea and Eugenie all went to the funeral.

Bea and Edo began their love affair while he still shared his London home with US-Chinese architect Dara Huang and their two-year-old son, Christopher 'Wolfie' Woolf.

The news that Edo was seeing Bea shake his family and his father, Po-Tien, a retired scientist from NASA, the US space agency, who said, "Why would they want to go?

"I can not understand. It's not fair, but the royal family is so powerful.

"What can I do?"

Coming from the Italian nobility, Edo is a count whose father, Alex, was an Olympic skier in the early 1970s.

His mother Nicola married Shale, a British businessman and conservative politician, but he was found dead in the restrooms of the Glastonbury festival in 2011.

The friend added: "At first, Bea and Edo wanted to hide their story because of the situation with his son and his relationship with Dara.

"But now they are just happy that everything is in the open."
