"In June 2020, we will have a completely different way of managing the public sector without the intervention of the" goro "boys," said Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.

In his words, "we will not accept more cash after June 2020 for government services. It will only be electronic. When you do this, you eliminate only intermediate men – goros boys and a lot of corruption in the process.

The Veep, known for its campaign for a paperless system, was speaking today at the Ishmael Yamson & Associates Business Roundtable in Accra.

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia added that a pilot project had been conducted at the Ministry of Tourism with cashless payments and had revealed that the Ministry's revenue had been multiplied by 4.
