Professor Kwesi Yankah, Minister of Higher Education, appealed to the delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Agona East to elect a negotiable candidate to withdraw the seat of Parliament in Congress National Democratic Party (NDC) in 2020.

He said delegates should use their power to choose the best candidates, affable and dignified, to run for office.

Speaking at the delegates meeting of the East Agona Nuclear Power Plant, Professor Yankah listed some social interventions to be carried out in the constituency, including a contract to connect 35 communities to the national grid. here at the end of 2019.

The decision, he said, was in line with the government's decision to ensure that all communities in the country are connected to the national grid in order to stimulate the growth of the rural economy.

Professor Yankah lamented the fact that due to the lack of electricity, some people living in rural areas have a lot of trouble embarking on small-scale business projects and added that they would soon be resolved.

With regard to education, the minister hinted that more than 15 educational structures had reached various stages of completion, while others had been completed in Agona East and in the United States. other districts of the central region.

Mr. Ben Mensah, former municipal director of Agona West and senior journalist, asked delegates to critically evaluate the other candidates for the parliamentary position, adding that Professor Yankah was more capable, marketable and credible to give.
