Professor Isaac Abeiku Blanksom, current Acting President of the University of Communication Technologies of Ghana (GCTU), will speak at a faculty research seminar for staff at the Ghana Institute of Journalism ( GIJ) on Friday February 19.
On the theme “Formulation of research themes and problematization of communication research”, the seminar is organized by the Research, Innovation and Development Department (DRID) of the institute.
This seminar is part of GIJ’s efforts to improve the research capacity of teachers as part of a larger initiative known as the “Scholarly Writing Series”.
Director of Research at GIJ, Dr Etse Sikanku said the institute is keen to encourage and equip teachers with the skills and knowledge to enable them to conduct cutting-edge research.
“Our goal is to revive and deepen the research culture at the Ghana Institute of Journalism. Such a session will go a long way in igniting research interests and laying the groundwork for future research ”.
Several subjects and guests have been lined up to participate in the “Writing Scholarly Articles” series.
