Professor Samuel Kobina Annim has been appointed as the new Government Statistician.
In a news release from the statistics department and signed by the director of the administration on Monday, he said the president, on the recommendation of the Public Utilities Commission, had appointed the badociate professor of economics.
According to the release, Professor Annim took office on March 1, 2019, from the University of Cape Coast where he worked for more than 18 years.
"We urge you to give him the courtesy necessary in the performance of his duties as a government statistician," the statement said.
