During the second edition of the Nathan Anang Quao Annual Awards, he spoke on the theme "Strengthening political neutrality in the services of civil and local administrations – The role of the politician".

Professor Bawole's appeal comes at a time when civil servants and civil servants have resigned to stand in parliamentary elections in various constituencies on the basis of the ticket of some political parties.

At the same time, the politicization of the public and the civil service is causing more and more concern, which does not guarantee fairness and professionalism in the workplace.

A total of 12 active and retired public servants were honored at the second awards, with the Leadership Award being given to a former Director of the Department of Local Government in the 1980s, MSN.M. Zanu.

Professor Bawole urged officials to show a great sense of professionalism and to ensure that they do not fall under the whims and whims of politicians.
He told them that even if they had their political preferences, they should not have an obvious political alignment.
