The measures affect education, leisure and business activities as the Gulf country seeks to avoid a possible second wave.
Qatar has reimposed a series of coronavirus-related restrictions on education, leisure and business activities, including closing indoor pools and theme parks and limiting restaurant capacity.
The measures went into effect Thursday, a day after they were first announced, as the country battles an outbreak of new COVID-19 infections.
Qatar reported 407 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. The number of daily cases has increased steadily since the one-day low of 117 in December.
“These increases appear to be the first signs of a potential second wave in Qatar,” the health ministry said in a statement, referring to both the rise in the number of infections and the rise in the number hospitalizations.
Outdoor gatherings in places such as parks should be limited to 15 people, while indoor gatherings should not be more than five people.
Markets across the country are expected to operate at 50 percent of capacity, non-home weddings are banned – guests for home weddings are reserved for parents only – and nurseries are expected to operate at 30 percent of capacity, said the ministry on Twitter.

Boat rental has been banned and the capacity of personal boats has been limited to 15 people.
Other Gulf states have also tightened restrictions in recent days to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
Kuwait announced on Wednesday that it would suspend the entry of non-citizens for two weeks from February 7 after an increase in coronavirus cases.
Neighboring Saudi Arabia this week suspended entry to the kingdom of 20 countries, except for Saudi citizens, diplomats and doctors and their families.
