The draw took place in the presence of an official representative of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and representatives of the QIB.
QIB's scanning approach allowed existing customers to open a Misk account via the award-winning QIB mobile app.
The application allows customers to access direct savings accounts by removing the hbadle of a physical visit to a QIB branch.
D Anand, Managing Director of QIB Personal Banking Group, said: "I would like to congratulate all the winners until today and wish good luck to the other Misk account savers for the upcoming draws.
"Misk is a Shariah-compliant savings account that rewards positive financial habits. At QIB, we recognize the importance of savings and we want to enlighten our customers and show them the benefits of saving for their future. I encourage all Misk account users to save more and increase their chances of being chosen as one of the lucky winners. "
All citizens and residents of Qatar are allowed to open a Misk account for themselves and their children who have not reached the legal age.
A minimum of 5000 QR for new customers and 2000 QR for existing customers is required to open the account.
Customers will be required to maintain a minimum monthly balance of 10,000 QR to participate in the weekly and monthly draws.
In order to participate in the grand prize draw, the customer must open the account three months before the final draw and keep a minimum savings amount of 10,000 QR during each of those months.
Each additional 10,000 QR gives the customer one more chance in the draw.
At the opening of a Misk account, customers will also receive a free debit card, a free electronic statement and access to QIB's new mobile banking application and Internet banking platform.
