As expected, the new platform of the US manufacturer is indeed the first 5G compatible chip combination used commercially for high-end smartphones.
The US TechCrunch portal did not seem to understand the timing of its articles, which is not surprising considering the time difference between the American continent and the place where Hawaii is held. Whatever the case may be, colleagues have accidentally released the first official information on the flagship smartphones' first processor of the year 2019 – and of course deleted the article immediately after finding out about it. ;fault.

Although their colleagues did not cite concrete data, Qualcomm had spoken of "the first commercial platform for mobile devices supporting 5G multi-gigabit connections". Qualcomm has also optimized the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 for games, speaking of a feature called "Snapdragon Elite Gaming" that has not been described before. The SoC's graphics engine has also been optimized for augmented reality applications, and there is a specialized computer vision engine that processes "digital photography" data to deliver better images and videos. The new chip will work with three processor clusters, using four 1.78 GHz energy-efficient cores and three 2.42 GHz high-end cores. In addition, one of the four so-called "gold nuclei" will reach up to 2.84 GHz, which, as mentioned above, has not yet been confirmed by Qualcomm. According to the report, the chip will not be marketed under the name "Snapdragon 8150" because it is supposed to be "SM8150" internally, based on evidence to support from internal sources and Android code. According to our information, the chip is manufactured for the first time in a 7-nanometer process at TSMC and will be available from next year in various high-end smartphones from manufacturers such as Samsung, LG, HTC, Motorola, Google and Sony. 5G support is provided by the Snapdragon X50 5G modem in addition to the Snapdragon X24 LTE integrated modem.
