The Queen could pay tribute to Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s wedding on Christmas Day by placing their photo on her desk while giving her annual speech, according to a royal commentator. Princess Beatrice’s secret wedding was one of the Queen’s highlights in 2020.

Mr Fitzwilliams believes Kate and Prince William will also be likely to feature in the Queen’s Christmas speech after their tour through Britain via the Royal Train.

He said: “The wonderful morale-boosting tour on the Royal Train that William and Kate have embarked on will no doubt be included.

“It shows what dedicated and senior royals can do to thank those who have done so much for our company during a dark and unprecedented year.”

However, Mr Fitzwilliams expects the Queen to focus mainly on the pandemic, on the fact that 2020 has been a difficult year for the country and on the hopes for the future given by the COVID-19 vaccines. .
