Rafa Benitez told Jacob Murphy that he will have a second chance in Newcastle.
The former Under-21 winger of England was loaned to West Brom, but no agreement was reached to allow him to leave permanently.
Benitez told Murphy to show his "clear potential" by influencing the championship promotion run and showing that he could be a long-term badet to Tyneside.
Murphy is Benitez's second biggest rookie for Newcastle and has landed at 12 million pounds in the summer of 2017.
The young man was shoved in the hierarchy of men wide attacks with the arrival of the signing of the disc, Miguel Almiron.
Benitez said: "I've already said that he's been training very well." He was very professional.
"He's a really nice guy." When he played, he had good games, and the goal against Man City was a really good goal.
"There have been matches in which he did not play as well, and then you have players in his post who are good or different.
"I can see its potential, it's very clear, it's obvious.
"He has to play every game, I think he'll have that chance, he has the potential.
"If he plays, he'll be a better player at the end of the season, and he only has to reach that potential."
Almiron went to Paris on Sunday to settle a work permit.
The 21-million-pound man is expected to join his team-mate for training on Wednesday and could debut against the Wolves next Monday.
