Rafael Henzel was one of six survivors of the 2016 crash
One of the six survivors of the plane crash that killed most of the Brazilian football team Chapecoense in 2016 died of a heart attack.
Brazilian journalist Rafael Henzel, 45, collapsed on Tuesday while playing football with friends. He was taken to the hospital but died shortly thereafter.
Chapecoense described it as "a symbol of club rebuilding".
The plane carrying 77 people, including 19 Chapecoense players, crashed in Colombia after a fuel outage.
Henzel, a highly respected journalist, resumed work at a radio station in the southern city of Chapecó, after recovering from the November 28, 2016 crash.
"Throughout his brilliant career, Rafael has told the story of Chapecoense," said the Chapecó club in a tribute to his website (in Portuguese).
"The green and white pages of this institution will always remember his example of overcoming [adversity] and all that he did. "

Henzel was to cover the match between Chapecoense and Criciúma for the Copa do Brasil national tournament on Wednesday. Chapecoense asked the Brazilian Football Association to postpone it.

The plane aboard Chapecoense was taking off from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, in Medellin, Colombia, where the team was competing in the Copa Sudamericana final.
Addressing the BBC a few weeks after the accident, Henzel said the pbadengers had not been warned of the imminent accident.
"When we were 10-15 minutes from the landing, the engines went out because the plane was running out of fuel … I put my seat belt on and I thought the engines would come back in a few minutes. "It does not happen."
Henzel, who had seven broken ribs, said he did not remember the time of the accident and that he had been the penultimate pbadenger to save.
"My dream was to come back to my city, to feel the ground beneath my feet, and it finally came in. It was a very special moment," said the journalist, who had published a book on the subject. accident in 2017.
The other survivors are footballers Alan Ruschel, Helio Zemper Neto and Jakson Follmann, as well as crew members Ximena Suarez and Erwin Tumiri.
