Randy Orton returns to Raw on Monday night, marking his first WWE television appearance since June 21. Orton’s return arrives just in time to make it into the mix for SummerSlam on August 21.
Orton and his new teammate Riddle had gained momentum before Orton’s sudden – and unexplained – disappearance from weekly television. In Orton’s absence, Riddle went it alone while taking on Raw Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Omos. Last week Omos claimed a victory over RIddle in singles.
Throughout Orton’s absence, Riddle devoted matches to his “best friend” while using his own version of Orton’s RKO. On Monday night, we’ll see if Orton is ready to return to Riddle’s side, perhaps in an attempt to lock down a title match with Styles and Omos in the next pay-per-view event.
