The former president has dispelled rumors suggesting the death of his mother
The office of former President Jerry John Rawlings said that he had taken note of an unfortunate rumor circling Mrs. Victoria Agbotui, mother of the former president.
A section of the press reports his death, but the office says: "Madame Agbotui is alive, healthy and warm".
Agents told Graphic Online that the old lady was neither ill nor admitted to any facility and urged members of the public to disregard this information.
Mrs. Agbotui, whom Rawlings continues to congratulate on his education, will be 100 in a few months.
