The Minister of Finance presented the 2021 half-yearly budget to Parliament.
The budget focused on first half revenue, expenditure and financial performance, providing insight into the implementation of the 2021 budget.
He highlighted the status of the implementation of the Ghana CARES “Obaatanpa” program which “seeks to revitalize and transform the economy in the pre-Covid-19 era”.
It also provided the economic and fiscal performance of the economy for the first half of the year.
The Minister of Finance kept his promise not to present a supplementary budget and not to review any tax rate despite the difficulties in raising revenue.
