Real Madrid aims for a bold transfer from Paul Pogba – and will offer Man Utd Gareth Bale in exchange for exchange

Real Madrid wants Paul Pogba to join Eden Hazard in Spain as part of an agreement that could allow Gareth Bale to move to Manchester United.

The £ 88 million initial move by Hazard was finalized this week and the Chelsea star is expected to be unveiled Thursday.

And Zinedine Zidane wants to make his next capture, the offensive midfielder United Pogba.

That would make Bale – already out of favor with his manager – a surplus over needs, but an attractive option to soften the pot for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the Old Trafford board.

The French international Pogba will cost around 130 million pounds if he is rewarded by Old Trafford.

But Basel could be used as part of the deal if an agreement could be reached over the remaining three years of its mega contract, worth more than £ 600,000 a week.

Zidane has already hired forward Luka Jovic for £ 58m and follows the evolution of Christian Eriksen to Totenham, where the Dane is more than a year old.

Bale was an unused submarine in the last game of the Real season – and did not even train his previous two teams.

But he will be back in action Saturday for Wales in Croatia in a Euro 2020 qualifier against his teammate Luka Modric.

Modric is still waiting for Bale to be a great threat despite his lack of action with Madrid recently.

Modric said, "Is he happy? You will have to ask him.

"It's very different to play in a club or an international football – there is not necessarily a correlation of form.

"I know what playing for the Welsh national team means for Gareth, so I do not think his lack of minutes at Real Madrid has an influence on his performances.

"I'm expecting him to be in great shape and we need to stop him as best we can and limit his great talent."
