Eden Hazard should be officially confirmed as Real Madrid player "in the coming days".

The 28-year-old tried several times to downplay speculation about his future, but the refusal to sign an extension of his current contract forced Chelsea to agree to an agreement with the Spanish giants.

Marca claims that Hazard has denied three separate offers, the latest one reporting a club record at £ 300,000 a week and Real to officially announce the imminent arrival of a player, Zinedine Zidane, who wants to create a new look around attack.

The 46-year-old retired at the end of last season, shortly after winning a third consecutive unprecedented success in the Champions League, but returned to Bernabeu last month after the dismissal of his former teammate Santiago Solari.

Zidane has been promised the funds to fund major reconstruction work and has already given the green light to the signatures of Brazilian center Eder Militao and his countryman Rodrygo.

After having offered nearly 200 million euros for Hazard last summer, after helping Belgium to win the third place in the World Cup, Real should win the price of his man about half of this price, the Hazard's current contract maturing in just over a year.

Chelsea has already chosen to replace Christian Pulisic for £ 52m in January, before lending him again to Borussia Dortmund for the rest of the season.

The former Lille winger played 65 minutes in Chelsea's 4-3 victory over Slavia Prague on Thursday, allowing Maurizio Sarri's players to qualify for the semifinals of the Europa League.
