REAL MADRID would have "given badurances to Eden Hazard" and would make a gesture for the star this summer.
Hazard, 28, told French radio RMC that he had decided on his future, a topic that has worried Chelsea fans for months.
He said, "I know what I'm going to do, I've made my decision."
It is understood that the interview took place about two months ago, but Hazard has not yet informed the Blues of his decision.
But according to the Telegraph, Real Madrid badured the winger that he would try to sign it.
And with his dream move to Bernabeu on the cards, Hazard is expected to announce to his current club that he will be on the way out after spending seven years in West London.
The Hazard agreement will have only 12 months to go before the end of the season but Chelsea still hopes to get more than 100 million pounds for the Belgian.
Last year, reports had suggested that he had alerted residents of Stamford Bridge that it would remain in the long run.
This speculation was confirmed when Hazard said he wanted to become a Chelsea legend.
However, as a result of these comments, he said that negotiations on a new agreement would be postponed until the end of the season.
Hazard has been badociated with a move to Los Blancos for several years, but this move appears to be on the verge of becoming a reality, with a contract apparently worth 14.5 million pounds a year.
Manager Maurizio Sarri has urged Hazard to leave the club if he does not want to sign a new contract.
The Italian said: "Eden is 28. If he wants to go, I think he has to go in. Of course, I hope the opposite, I hope that he wants to stay here.
"He has the potential to be the best player in Europe right now."
