The son of the French legend is happy that he is back at the head of Los Blancos but refused to predict how well he could do in the role.

Enzo Zidane said his father had "listened to his heart" by making the decision to come back as Real Madrid's head coach for a second stint.

The French legend left Real Madrid after his triumph in the final of the Champions League in 2018 – for the third time in a row, he won the trophy.

He was replaced by Julen Lopetegui, who lasted a few months before being sacked in favor of Santiago Solari.

Argentina did not do much better, since Madrid was eliminated by Ajax in the last leg of the Champions League, while it was eliminated from the Copa del Rey by Barcelona.

This paved the way for Zidane's remarkable return, much to the delight of the manager's son.

"I'm happy, like any son with his father," Enzo Zidane said. Sport.

"I hope he's doing his best, I trust his work and I support him as always."

He added: "[He] always makes decisions with his heart and it worked like that. When you do things with your heart, things are going well and I'm sure it will be great.

"If Real Madrid is now in good hands, I do not have an answer to that, it is the people who speak, I am happy as a son and as a fan of Madrid."

Enzo joined Real Madrid for more than ten years, after joining the youth in 2004.

He joined Alaves in 2017 before joining FC Lausanne-Sport in the Swiss Super League in January 2018.

In July, Enzo returns to Spain and joins Rayo Majadahonda in the second division thanks to a loan agreement of one year.

Rayo Majadahonda defeated Numancia with a 4-0 win in his last match. Enzo said his team was starting to feel more comfortable.
