Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane believes Paul Pogba would be a fantastic addition to the club.
Real boss Zinedine Zidane remains interested in Pogba, who has not concealed his desire to leave Manchester United this summer.
United has not yet received official offers for the French midfielder and will not accept any offers if made after the Premier League transfer deadline of 8 August.
That leaves only one week to Real to try to reach an agreement with United, which has more and more the hope to keep Pogba at Old Trafford.
Real endured a nightmarish pre-season and was beaten again by Tottenham in Munich on Tuesday.
And while Varane would like to welcome his international teammate, he insists that Zidane has a strong team at his disposal.
"I think we have a team, Pogba is a good player, I know him very well and for any team it would be fantastic," said Varane.
"I trust my teammates, if new players come in, we'll see, but I trust my teammates."
Varane adds: "It is true that at the individual level, we make mistakes: they are not tactical, but technical.
"It will be corrected, I think we will improve little by little, we are focusing on our work.
"We all know that when the competition starts, Madrid is something else – it's not an excuse – we focus on friendlies.
"We have to be calm, this season has not started, when it starts, we'll be ready."
