Bayern Munich missed Callum Hudson-Odoi in January, but would be ready to launch a new summer offer for the Chelsea player this summer.
The boss of Chelsea, Maurizio Sarri, pursued the winger by the German giants, which led Hudson-Odoi to file a transfer request.
The 18-year-old has finally been persuaded to stay at Stamford Bridge for the time being – though reports suggest Bayern thinks he can land his $ 45m man at the end of the season.
The reason for their trust?
Their previous record of landing players on the second attempt
President Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told Goal: "I guess Hasan [Salihamidzic] is a bit like Uli [Hoeneß].
"We also had transfers in the past that did not work the first time but the second, and we are going to work on that now.
"Putting a marker costs money, we want the best players here in Bayern and Hasan is absolutely convinced of this player."
Despite his stay in Chelsea at the moment, Hudson-Odoi has only 18 months on his current contract at Stamford Bridge.
Maurizio Sarri has time to give him more football in the first team to convince him to stay in place, but the lure of the Bundesliga champions is not going at the moment.
