Recirculation of LPG cylinders will begin in October

Cape Coast, July 17, GNA – Mr. Alhbadan
Tampuli, Managing Director of the National Petroleum Authority
(NPA) stated that significant progress had been made towards the pilot project
implementation of the bottle recirculation (CRM) model in the context of the
Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Policy.

He said that the pilot phase of the policy is
should begin in October this year in Obuasi, in the Ashanti region and
Kwaebibirim in the Denkyemboa District of the Eastern Region.

Mr. Tampuli informed a speaker
commitment to the recirculation mode of bottles in the central region on Tuesday.

"CRM: create more jobs, secure our security" aims to create interfaces,
solicit public input and support as part of the implementation
process of the new GPL policy.

He explained that the purpose of CRM was to
provide guidance for LPG marketing and distribution in a safe and efficient manner

per cent of LPG consumers have access to security, affordability and
environmentally friendly for LPG for commercial, industrial and domestic use.

entirely reserved for Ghanaian participation, emphasizing that non-Ghanaians
would not be allowed to operate according to the model.
