Pepe Reina and Lucas Biglia of AC Milan bid farewell to Chelsea striker Gonzalo Higuain.
Higuain should pbad his medical exam with the Premier League team in the next 48 hours, with his replacement. Krzysztof Piatek expected to arrive in Milan before a transfer of 38 million euros.
"I said goodbye to Higuain with a hug, it's still a bitter moment," said Reina at a charity football tournament held on Tuesday.
"I wished him the best and hugged him. Unfortunately, it is also football. I lose a teammate, but I keep a good friend.
Biglia also said goodbye to her compatriot, apparently confirming Piatek's arrival in the process.
"There is a bitter feeling when we say goodbye, Pipita being a friend," said Biglia.
"Another player will arrive, one who can become an excellent center-forward. We want to continue to do well. "
