Nintendo has released a free update for "Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker" on the switch. The download includes a cooperative mode that makes all stages suitable for two players.
On March 14, 2019, paid downloadable content, called "Special Episode", will also appear. The expansion includes 18 new challenges, including five new levels, each with a new sparkling crown to find. There is also a package with the main game offered.
