Two toddlers in the Rwandan genocide of 1994 prayed to God to save their lives; but they were massacred with machetes, clubs of all kinds by the so-called Christians.
That year, about 98% of Rwandans were Christians. One would think that at least one “all-powerful”, “powerful” god would have spared them their lives so that they could grow up like you and me? Or these Christians would spare their lives. No, rather the opposite has happened. The mystery god did nothing for hundreds of thousands of children who did not know what it was to be Hutu or Tutsi.
Why i don’t like religion?
I hate the power of religion over people and the hypocritical people it produces.
You don’t have to be religious to have the positive character that religion claims to produce. A reasonable person knows that it is wrong to harm or betray others. A good person knows it is good to help those in need when you are lucky enough to have so much opportunity and prosperity. You don’t need religion for this.
You don’t need any religion to teach you good morals. The research is crystal clear on morality as it relates to religion. Religion is only good for exploiting the poor, the underdeveloped and the illiterate.
From Crusades, to terrorism, to slavery, to colonialism, religion is about money, power, control and influence: Christianity and Islam alike.
Religion is a source of much hatred, division and utter nonsense. In Africa, we would be so much better off without it.
When everything is ready, you are shocked to find that:
- Religion is always in the business of control.
- It’s in a guilt-ridden control business. (that is to say the concept of heaven and hell in Christianity). As well illustrated Alex C. Lee.
- The church doesn’t like people to grow up. They want you to read the Bible and do what it says, literally. Do not question anything written by “God’s people”. Otherwise, you will burn in a mysterious hell. Truly!?
- God would never be a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, a Hindu or any other religion. Yet each of them thinks their religion is true, which is the only way to get to God.
Christians will tell you that: “Jesus is the only way and there is no other way”
Muslims will tell you that: Mohammad, the prophet of God, is the only way and you have to follow his teachings to go to a mysterious paradise (some of the teachings include polygamy, treating women as second class citizens, beating them when they make a mistake, etc. … really !?
Speaking from experience, I’m not inventing anything.
Let me give you some other examples of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.
The history of the genocide in Rwanda is very complex and complicated.
But one thing is undeniably clear, and that is the role that Christianity played in the genocide. During the genocide, many people were killed in churches, largely because the priests who were in charge and could have helped them abandoned them and accelerated the process. At the height of the killings, people gathered in churches, expecting to be saved. Either miraculously by “God” or other factors. After all, 98% of Rwandans were Christians and they could not imagine that they were going to be killed in the “house of God”, the churches.
Instead of being saved in the churches, they gave the killers the possibility to find them in one place, to identify the Tutsis, and finally to exterminate them more and more quickly. In most cases, the priests gave the keys and the green light for these killings. Priests were perhaps the most trusted people in our society. People to whom you might confess your sins and repent during Catholic Mass. No one thought they would do what they did in Rwanda.
TO Church of Ntarama, around 5,000 people were exterminated within hours with machetes and clubs in the most horrific way imaginable.

Do you know what is crazy and still surprises me today?
This is the pass that Christianity obtained in Africa. Despite all the harm it has done to Africa, people still believe in this religion for some strange reason, I cannot understand.
In fact, when you raise this question, people will tell you that God is always good, but sometimes people can be bad. When someone is a die-hard believer, their level of education doesn’t even matter.
My question to such people is why do we always thank God for the little good religion does, but not hold him responsible for all the bad it does to our society. Are we not crazy?
In my opinion, religion is the new form of colonization. But this time, we have no one to blame except ourselves.
The Europeans who brought it to us have already abandoned it. Today, in their civilized countries, no one goes to church anymore. Churches are museums. Just to visit 17th and 18th century architecture. Only a minority go to church. Meanwhile, they enjoy a life expectancy of over 85-90 years while we die at 55-60 years.
Why does the “good Lord” hate us so much that he gives us a shorter lifespan when we flock to churches every Sunday like no one else is the case? worshiping the God, who is supposed to be “all love”, but all they taught us was to hate and divisionism between us. Why have we been so naive?
