Reminder issued for some sandwiches and salads sold at Target and The Fresh Market

Elevation Foods is voluntarily recalling several egg products sold at Target and The Fresh Market because of possible contamination with Listeria bacteria.

The company recalls Archer Farms brand egg salad packaging; Freskët brand egg salad, tuna salad and Thai lobster salad; and Archer Farms brand fried egg sandwiches, produced on June 18th.

Elevation Foods discovered the problem after the products were tested positive for listeria after verification by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Elevation Foods said it was pursuing its research on the potential sources of the problem.

According to the Food and Drug Administration, the products were manufactured at the Knoxville, Tennessee, facility of Elevation Foods. The company estimates that fewer than 1,087 crates of products were shipped to retail warehouses across the United States.

No disease has been reported.

HOW TO IDENTIFY THE RECALLED PRODUCT: Check the expiry dates on the side of the containers and the lot number on the side or lid. The recall only applies to products whose lot numbers and expiry dates are shown below.

• Archer Farms brand egg salad in 12 oz. Clear plastic container, lot number W1906042A, to be used by 12AUG2019 (printed on the side of each container) UPC 085239018682, distributed throughout the country
• Freskët brand egg salad packaged in a clear 32 oz. Square plastic container, lot number W1906042, to be used by 12AUG2019A (printed on the side of each container)

• Freskët brand tuna salad in a 5-lb. Round, white plastic container, lot number W1906054, to be used by 02AUG2019A (printed on the side of each container)

• Freskët brand Thai lobster salad in a 5-lb. Round and white plastic container, lot number W1906041, to be used by 02AUG2019A (printed on the side of each container)
• Archer Farms Half-Sandwich Crispy Egg Sandwich, CUP 220505000002, distributed nationally

• Devils Egg Sandwich on Multigrain by Archer Farms, CUP 498780203566, distributed nationwide
