Reminder of two male enhancement supplements due to the presence of sildenafil

(KPLC / Gray News) – Ata Int. Inc. voluntarily recalls all batches within the expiration limits of Bluefusion capsules, and USA LESS voluntarily recalls all lots of Leopard Miracle honey due to the undeclared presence of sildenafil, according to the FDA.

BlueFusion could also be contaminated with tadalafil, desmethyl carbodenafil, dithiodesmethyl carbodenafil, scutellarin and daidzein, the FDA says. The active ingredients in both supplements can interact with the nitrates found in some prescription medications (such as nitroglycerin) and can lower blood pressure to dangerous levels; which can be life threatening, especially for consumers with diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol or heart disease.

The FDA has stated that the presence of undeclared active ingredients makes the products unapproved. Sildenafil and tadalafil are FDA approved drugs for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men.

No adverse events have been reported, says the FDA. Consumers, distributors and retailers who have the recalled products must discontinue use or distribution and return to the place of purchase.
