The University of Education Winneba (UEW) is scheduled to reopen Monday, April 8, after the closure of violent student demonstrations.
Students must go to school on April 9 to resume school activities.
In a statement copied on Joy News, the Governing Council said: "On the advice and permission of the Regional Security Council, the Governing Council wishes to announce to the attention of all the Students and the general public the following schedule opening of the university: Monday, April 8, 2019 – Arrival of students on campus Tuesday, April 9 "to Friday, April 13" – mid-term exams. "

The decision to reopen after extensive consultations is aimed at ensuring a sustainable peaceful environment for academic work on all campuses.

The Board of Governors also reinstated the three lecturers sacked by the university's board of governors, Professor Anthony Afful-Broni.
Professors Ephraim Avea Nsoh, Emmanuel Osei Sarpong and Frimpong Kwaku Duku have all been reinstated in their ranks at the University as of Thursday, April 4th.
