Will Kirk from the repair shop shared photos from his wedding – after finally reaching the aisle a year later than expected.

The practical BBC star, 36, posted photos from the nuptials, which took place on Thursday last week, calling the wedding “the best day of my life”.

Kirk, a wood restoration specialist, and his new wife, Polly Snowdon, a recently graduated doctor, were forced to postpone their big day last year when the lockdown hit.

The newlyweds couldn’t hide their smiles as they finally said ‘yes’ to the Kings Head Hotel in Cirencester before posing for photos in the pretty Cotswold village of Bibury.

“And boyyyyy did they do that, a dance floor I won’t soon forget!” Thank you very much for accompanying me for the trip you two !! ‘

The repair shop, where members of the public bring much-loved but broken heirlooms to be repaired and restored by a team of experts, has captivated a growing BBC audience (before the lockdown, a just under three million viewers had tuned in) since its launch in 2017.

Kirk has become a favorite on the show, and the program drew six and a half million viewers during the lockdown, as his striking combination of craftsmanship and deeply personal stories captivated the craft-loving audience.
