The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced the temporary suspension of the replacement of lost voter ID cards in its district offices in the country.
The suspension takes effect from Friday, June 7, 2019 to Thursday, June 27, 2019.
In a statement signed by its chairman, Jean Mensa, the EC said the suspension should allow it to "focus on the imminent exercise of limited voter registration".
He announced that the replacement of the lost identity cards would continue after June 27, 2019.
