Rumors are rife about what many think will become a new MacBook Pro appearing this week. Now comes some clues (although defined in qualifiers) that the iMac can also be facelift, focusing on its screen. The all-in-one desktop unit was last updated in July 2010, when Apple announced the addition of the Intel i3, i5, and i7 family of processors, as well as ATI Radeon graphics to a starting price of $ 1,199.

On Tuesday, Digiday's Taiwan-based Digai industrial publication quoted "supply chain sources" as saying that the Cupertino, California-based company "could also launch its new iMac with its MacBook, and make changes to the size of the the screen allowing panel blanks to reach its optimization. "In December, the publication announced the publication of a new iMac during the first half of 2011.

Feeding discussions on an updated MacBook Pro, Digitimes suggested Thursday to Apple to unveil a new version of the laptop. Speculation has been reinforced by reports of stockouts of the product. The MacBook Pro was last updated in April 2010, when it received the new Intel processor family.
