The Roma are preparing to pbad for Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren after the price has been set for Toby Alderweireld of Tottenham Hotspur.

Alderweireld was the first choice of the Roma to strengthen their bottom line, but Tottenham's 40 million euros claims seem to have put a damper on the deal.

Therefore, Alfredo Pedulla of Sportitalia writes that he is now turning to Lovren, linked to Milan and valued at 20 million euros.

In addition, his agent, Bjorn Beemer, is expected to land soon in Italy, where he could address the future of Croats.

Meanwhile, Milan has since signed an agreement on scorer Flamengo duel, Leo Duarte, apparently ending their pursuit of the 31-year-old.

Lovren broke down in Liverpool, who recently recruited Sepp van den Berg, a teenage central defender.
