Inter and Mauro Icardi are apparently destined to separate in the summer, at least according to a report by Gazzetta dello Sport.
The recent tension has caused irreparable harm and relations between the parties appear to be over.
Icardi was recently stripped of the captaincy of Inter for what the club termed a decision for the best of the team.
After losing his captaincy, Icardi rejected the call for the first-leg match of the first leg of the Europa League's 32nd stage with Inter Vienna, citing a knee injury.
He would then use the same reason to miss the 2-1 win over Sampdoria. Inter then decided to subject him to medical tests to determine the possible damage.
The tests were negative and showed no change from pre-season results, but he was out of the group for last night's 4-0 win over Rapid Vienna in the second leg.
In addition, it now seems certain to miss Sunday's match against Fiorentina and nobody can guess when he can make his return.
