Battle Rapper Tech 9, born Akeem Mickens, is reported to have died.
Earlier this morning (March 25), Buttah From The Block, a Tech 9 friend, announced Tech's death on Facebook before providing more context in a statement to XXL.
"Unfortunately, it's true. We lost a Philadelphia legend and rap and pioneer, "says Buttah From The Block XXL. "Unfortunately, we have not completely determined the cause of death.We pray that this is a natural cause.It had no sign of harm to his body."
