June 2005 – As part of a new campaign to regulate the largest US technology companies, the House Judiciary Committee joins the rapidly growing sector of government agencies and committees, seeking to ascertain whether increased concentration in technology sector eliminates competition and harms consumers. Representative David Ciciiline, the Rhode Island Democrat who chairs the House's Antitrust Subcommittee on the Judiciary, leads the bipartisan congressional initiative.
