Residents of Gomoa Mampong, on the Kasoa-Winneba highway in the central region, are very angry with the government for not duplicating the Kasoa-Cape Coast section of the highway.

According to them, this government neglect is killing too many people on the Kasoa-Cape Coast highway.

Some residents who spoke to Adom News said many executives who use the stretch saw the dangers of using the road but ignored them.

A resident also called on President Akufo-Addo and the Minister of Roads and Highways to double the Kasoa-Cape Cast highway to save the lives of ordinary Ghanaians because the death toll on that stretch of road is too high.

Their concern comes after 10 people died while scores of people were injured in an accident on this section of the highway on Sunday August 22 in Gomoa Mampong.

The injured were taken to Winneba Trauma Hospital for treatment. The deceased is said to be made up of six men and four women.
