President Muhammadu Buhari, candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the presidential election on Saturday, won the state of Osun.
Professor Toyin Ogundipe, head of collection of contributions at the INEC office in Osogbo, announced Monday around 12:25 that Buhari had obtained 347,634 votes.
Ogundipe, vice-chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), said Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), which got 337,377 votes, according to the NAN.
He specified that the total number of registered voters was 1,674,729, while the total number of registered voters was 732,984.
Ogundipe added that the number of valid votes was 714,682, compared to 17,200 for the rejected votes.
He declared that the number of votes cast was 731,882.
