AN OAP has labeled South Americans "stingy" after giving over £ 500 worth of unwanted items in exchange for donating to a charity – and receiving only £ 15.
Brian Fisher, 85, born in Lancashire, placed a sign in front of his home in Esbad, offering a range of free items in exchange for a "reasonable" gift.
Among these items was a $ 50 Bonsai tree, a brand new car carpet set, a four-slice toaster, a box of keys and an badortment of household items.
But Mr. Fisher, of Maldon, Esbad, said it was "disgusted" to find that his neighbors had only donated £ 15.01 for products which he said were worth about £ 540.
