Richard Kwarteng Ahenkorah, President and CEO of AllTime Finance, a leading financial services provider, has been inducted into the Chartered Institute of Credit Management Ghana (CICMG) in recognition of his outstanding leadership in the sector and his contribution to the society.

On the recommendations of the CICMG Board, Mr. Ahenkorah was named an honorary member at a ceremony at the British Council of Accra, during which the institute also organized the Ghana Credit Excellence Awards. and the 4th graduation and admission ceremony.

His status as an honorary member of the CICGM also gives him the opportunity to put his knowledge and experience at the service of credit management in the country and also support the objectives of the institute.

In an interview, Ahenkorah said the bank credit sector needed more than just credit. "Credit goes beyond KYC and internal risk management procedures. This involves control, double-checking and cross-checking, even though the ability to pay is paramount. Industry players must learn not to compete to attract customers but to collaborate in the selection of credit operations.

To the extent that it is essential to understand the customer, professionals must constantly improve their credit management skills in order to respond favorably to changes occurring especially in micro and small enterprises (MSMEs). This can only happen if professionals understand the language of credit on the streets and in principle, "he said.

He also commended the credit reporting agencies when he called for regular updates of data collection on credit information from individuals and businesses. He thanked the CICGM for this honor and then congratulated the Institute for its role in developing and strengthening the capacity of the credit management professionals in Ghana.

"I guarantee that I will always give my unfailing support to the institute to achieve its goals in its endeavors. I am ready and always willing to share knowledge when I am asked.
