George Quaye, Head of Events and Communications at Charter House, organizer of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, revealed that Richie Mensah, CEO of Lynx Entertainment, had been fired by the VGMA board after signing Mzvee for his label .

Geroge Quaye reacted to Richie Mensah's selection of his candidacy for the position of Vice President of MUSIGA. George Quaye explained that even if Richie wins the contest, he will not be a VGMA board member by default because he has already been fired from the board.
