Child Rights International (CRI) has announced an intensification of pressure on all security agencies in the country until the discovery of the three missing Takoradi girls.
According to IRC Executive Director Bright Appiah, the organization will not abandon its goal of bringing together all the elements to reunite girls with their families.
Reports available for Modern Ghana indicates that 2,000 Ghanaians have signed, asking the Parliament to convene the security agencies as well as the Ministry for the Protection of Women and Gender and Social Protection in order to inform Ghanaians of the progress made with regard to the missing Takoradi girls.
In its statement, the IRC indicates that abduction cases have social responsibility obligations that the state must take note of.
Part of the statement suggested that the state had focused its attention only on the criminal side without considering social obligations to the family.
It's been 11 months since the three girls, namely; Priscilla Benediction Bentum, Ruth Love Quayson and Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie have been reported missing from their various homes in Takoradi, Western Region, but there is no indication that they are returning.
