Robbie Williams and Ayda Field leave X Factor: the panel could be reduced to three

Robbie Williams and Ayda Field have left the panel of X Factor judges and they can not be replaced because Simon Cowell returns to his original format.

With two upcoming series coming up this year, an edition of the all-star and celebrity show, a new civilian series has been postponed until 2020.

The Sun says Cowell prefers to return to three judges for these two series, as at the launch of the X Factor in 2004.
