Now that Robert Downey Jr. is finished with Marvel, it looks like he is ready to continue his life and career and departs somewhat from the role of Tony Stark, who launched his acting career into a whole new stratosphere.
One of the things he wants people to know, is that it's not his job, he explained, "I'm not what I'm doing." I did with this studio. Here is what he told THR in an interview:
"Initially, creating and badociating and synergizing with Tony Stark and the Marvel Universe … and being a good businessman, but also being a little off the mark, demonstrating Creativity and engaging in all these other partnerships, it was a time when … they say "the owners are starting to look like their pets."
He did not want that to happen. He has therefore developed a process called aesthetic distance and explains:
"I'm not my job, I'm not what I did with this studio, I'm not the time I spent playing this character, and it sucks, because the kid in all of us wants to be like, "No. It will always be a summer camp and we all hold hands and sing" Kumbaya "."
Of course, the actor enjoyed playing his character and, as you can imagine, he also appreciated the huge sums of money he made with these films!
"There is always an addiction to something that seems to be a sure thing – it's the closest to my life."
I seriously doubt that Downey Jr. is concerned about money. This guy is a talented actor who will never have problems finding work again. He has a Sherlock Holmes 3 in jobs with a restart of Dr. Dolittlebut he has not explored what his life and career could be like after Marvel. He knows however that he must start soon.
"I have not been forced to explore the new frontier of what is my creative and personal life after that.It is always good to take some advance on what you are about If you put your eyes on it, it's going to be a big turning point there, in spring 19, "I'd better start psychologically at that. (…) It's still in the transitions between a phase and the next that people are falling apart. "
I'll be excited to see what projects Downey Jr. will eventually take in the future, beyond what we already know to come.
