CROSSVILLE, Tenn., February 2, 2019 / PRNewswire / – Buyers and sellers of construction equipment from around the world will converge this weekend in the Orlando, Florida region for an annual multi-week event known as "Florida Auctions".

Auctions start with the Alex Lyon & His Auction, their 26th in Florida, the Saturday, February 2, durable until the February 10. The Kissimmee auction by Jeff Martin Auctioneers Inc. will be February 11-14and will have more than 6,000 pieces of equipment. Yoder & Frey Auction, their 45th in Florida, will be February 13-16. The last auction is Ritchie Bros. Auctioneer February 18-23. The Ritchie auction has been the largest auction of the world in recent years, with more than 12,000 pieces of equipment sold in 2018.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Rock & Dirt at the Florida Auctions. "It's a new year and companies are getting ready to get back to work," Sojka said. "It's only a great place, filled with buyers and sellers of the industry."
Rock & Dirt attended the first auction in 1979, distributing copies for 40 years. The event is an opportunity to chat with customers and learn what will be next year in construction.
This year, Rock & Dirt will be dedicating two different issues to sales: the central January issue (Alex Lyon Auction) and the Western January issue (Jeff Martin Auctioneers, Yoder & Frey).
