AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho was sent off as his side finished with just eight players in their friendly 5-2 loss to Real Betis on Saturday.
Mourinho, who was named Roma boss in May after being sacked by Tottenham Hotspur, was sacked in the 60th minute after furiously approaching referee Jorge Figueroa after Betis’ third goal.

Roma star Lorenzo Pellegrini received a second yellow card to protest the opponent’s third goal, while defenders Gianluca Mancini and Rick Karsdorp were also sacked after two separate incidents later in the game.

Betis, who were already winning 3-2, added two more goals in the final 10 minutes of the game as they comfortably knocked out a significantly larger Roma side.
Roma will kick off their 2021-22 Serie A campaign against Fiorentina on August 22.
